Lasers vs. LLLT for Hair Loss

Many hair loss devices on the market are not what they say they are.

They use LEDs while marketing themselves as laser therapy. These are not the same thing.

LLLT (low-level laser light therapy) is the gold standard for light-based hair loss treatments, according to the American Hair Loss Association. It can regrow hair in 16 weeks.

What is LLLT?

LLLT was discovered back in the 60s when physician Endre Mester noticed that laser light sped up hair regrowth in shaved mice.

It is now an FDA-cleared technology that can reverse hair loss, with visible results in ~4 months with 6 min of daily use.

This is where brands mislead you.

Many devices use LEDs only. Some mix LEDs and lasers. The clinical evidence for these light delivery systems is not equal.

Laser diodes deliver concentrated light directly to the follicle. LEDs scatter light across the surface.

Laser diodes deliver 2.5x more on-target intensity than LEDs.

The Blueprint 302 Laser Cap
