    Very good quality Matcha

This is a very good quality matcha with beautiful bright green color. It is my favorite brand so far and I tried couple different brands before. Highly recommend it.

    Worth it

I love matcha, and I used to just get the random non-ceremonial grade matcha from Costco and think it was the same as this. After trying this, I cannot go back. I usually make a straight hot matcha frothed up in an espresso milk frother, and this stuff is gooood!

It has a vibrant green color, compared to a dull green of other matchas, and a perfect natural foam that gathers on the top to create a delicate umami flavor and light froth texture.

I went down a rabbit hole trying to find another matcha like this, and maybe you can, but it isn’t going to be much cheaper. If you think regular matcha powder is the same as ceremonial you will be sadly mistaken, and missing out.

My matcha every morning brings me joy now, vs before I just drank it to get a little caffeine. Highly recommend this stuff!

    Matcha

This matcha is not good. It is bitter and missing all the complexity of a high grade matcha. There are no umami notes and no natural sweetness that is present in decent matcha. The color is dull and muddy and the flavor just isn't there. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this stuff. Throw in a couple more bucks and buy from a tea seller instead, your taste buds with thank you.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our matcha is ceremonial grade and rigorously tested for purity, nutritional density, and freedom from contaminants. Its flavor and color can vary based on preparation technique, especially water temperature and whisking method.

For the best experience, we recommend using about 2 grams of matcha whisked with water heated to around 175°F (80°C) (not boiling) to avoid bitterness and preserve the natural umami and sweetness. Whisking vigorously in a zigzag motion until frothy helps unlock its full aroma and flavor complexity.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and hope these tips help enhance your next cup.
